SantAnna Beach Club is a household name in Mykonos, renowned for its glitz, glamour and gorgeous views. Located on the infamous Paraga beach, SantAnna is actually the largest Beach Club in Mykonos, and it is home to the largest outdoor saltwater pool in Europe!
Many people claim that SantAnna is a must visit in Mykonos, so we headed down there to see for ourselves. Here is our unfiltered opinion of what we thought…

1. How To Get A Reservation at SantAnna Beach Club
Getting a reservation at SantAnna Beach Club is pretty straight forward. All you have to do is visit their website at https://www.santannamykonos.com/ and press ‘book now’ (please note they are only open May – September).
We booked 4 month in advance for our visit in peak summer and we found that there were still plenty of reservation slots available.
We decided to go for the cheapest option at SantAnna Beach Club which was the Pool Boho Lounge. The Boho Lounge is located between the pool and the beach – the minimum spend for this area is €40 per person (payment is required upon booking). The €40 is fully redeemable on food and drink and this also includes a sun lounger.
2. SantAnna Beach Club: Our Preconceptions
We wanted to visit SantAnna Beach Club as it was recommended on so many blogs! The music here was described as R&B/Hip Hop which is our favourite genre of music so of course we wanted to visit.
Celebrity guests are no stranger to SantAnna Beach Club and they have previously welcomed performing artists such as 50 Cent, Black Coffee and Tyga! We visited Mykonos for my birthday celebration so we were torn whether we wanted to spend the special day visiting SantAnna or Scorpios Beach Club (which you can read a full review about here). We opted for the latter and to be honest, we are glad we did…
3. SantAnna Beach Club: Our Experience
Upon arrival, our first impression was – WOW. This beach club really is huge! The pool glistened in the sun and we were surrounded by hundreds of people.
We were lead to our pre-booked Boho sun loungers by the staff and we made ourselves comfortable whilst they brought us the cocktail menu.
The service here is very personalised as you are assigned your own waiter/waitress. We visited on 22nd July 2023 – probably one of the hottest days on the Greek Island so the infamous SantAnna pool was the perfect way to cool down.
We arrived at 4pm so the party was just getting started, there were many people both in and around the pool dancing and enjoying the music.
We scoured through the (extremely overpriced) cocktail menu and we decided to quench our thirst with a very unique pandan cocktail which we loved! It was delicious and super refreshing. You can see some of the other cocktail options and prices below.
The food here was equally as extortionate as the drinks. Really and truly, there was nothing on the menu we truly fancied so we decided to go casual with some crispy prawn tempura for starters and a beef burger and fries for mains. The prawn tempura was crispy and delicious, we could’ve eaten dozens of these (had it not been so expensive!) Whereas our burger left a bitter taste in our mouths, and this was not because of the flavour!
When ordering our burger we asked our waiter if it came with fries, he said no – the fries are sold separately. So in that case we ordered a side of fries each. 15 minutes later, we look into the distance and we see what looked like our waiter with 4 portions of fries and 2 burgers in his hands. We thought surely he can’t be bringing this for us… could he?
We were filled with dread when in fact his footsteps geared toward our direction and stopped right next to our sun lounger. We were extremely confused and we reiterated the fact that he had told us that the fries were not included with the burger. He completely disregarded us and advised that we just eat the extra fries seeing as they were already there. Please bare in mind that these are not €1.50 McDonalds chips but instead €16 (!!) fries that he is telling us to basically just suck it up and eat it!
We categorically refused to keep the extra fries and asked for it to be taken off the bill, when he resisted we asked another waiter instead and he proceeded to do so happily. We had heard stories of restaurants in Mykonos taking advantage of holiday-makers in the past by adding on extra items onto their bills in the hope that they wouldn’t notice – so this didn’t really surprise us. But this definitely tainted our experience of the beach club as we felt they were just trying to swindle us out of as much cash as possible.
Now on to the music. We were disappointed to say the least. We were expecting RnB and Hip Hop however, they pretty much played 98% pop, electro and techno music. There wasn’t much of a dancing vibe here either, which was a shame as we were really looking forward to shaking a leg. Honestly it just seemed like everyone here just wanted to look good and make sure that everyone else thought they looked good at the same time. We planned to spend the whole afternoon here but instead we ended up leaving early as we actually got quite bored.
4. Would We Recommend SantAnna Beach Club?
The aesthetic and scenery here are beautiful and the pool is certainly very big, however, in terms of actual enjoyment – we would rate SantAnna Beach Club a solid 5/10.
In our personal opinion, we are glad we visited in order to say we experienced it but we definitely would not go back. There are thousands of better ways to spend your money in Mykonos than at SantAnna Beach Club (such as at Scorpios – read more here). So overall would we recommend this Beach Club? No.
